We love the texture of Vincent van Gogh’s Bouquet of Flowers in a Vase (1890). Practice your Slow Art Day skills by admiring the beautiful brushstrokes of this painting.

This was our Building 5 installation from December 22, 2010 to January 1, 2012. Read an interview with Katharina Grosse about One Floor Up More Highly in Artforum’s “500 Words” column.

Regine Ramsier, 2000 Suspended Dandelions, 2011

We are astounded by the patience and beauty of this installation piece. Ramsier first treated the dandelions with a gentle adhesive before placing them in a special palette she designed to fit in the back of her car. Then she moved the 2,000 flower/weeds into the gallery space and suspended them one at a time from the ceiling. Wouldn’t this be a great practice piece for Slow Art Day?

We love these paper flowers that Benja Harney installed in Sydney’s Queen Victoria Building in 2012.
